Distressed Sumatra

Mt. Sinabung on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, has erupted dozens of times in the last few months, forcing evacuations of more than 30,000 people since it began in September. Sadly, on February 1st it erupted again and fourteen more people lost their lives. The news and pictures coming from this normally lush island are dramatic and heart-breaking. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this Indonesian island that fills such an important role in the world of coffee.
